Cyprus-based woman wins wonderful Irish music CD

We at ‘Ireland Writing Retreat’ are delighted to announce the winner of our special Spring draw – a terrific traditional music CD by well-known Donegal fiddle player, Theresa Kavanagh, goes to lucky recipient Dina Husseini from Cyprus.

Dina, who says she is also known as ‘Dinzy Finzy,’ is an energetic, multi-talented woman of many interests, including hosting her own intriguing video series in which she tackles some of life’s key issues and interviews authors.

Born in Nicosia, Cyprus, Dina is a business management consultant as well as an English teacher and guidance counselor.

Deeply interested in prose, Dina is soon to have her first book, entitled ‘Amara,’ published. Asked what her favorite subjects are to read, she replied “mystery and crime fiction,” citing her favorite authors as Stephen King, Nicholas Spark and Stephenie Meyer (especially her novel, ‘The Host’).

Dina has also recently written a movie script and a pilot for a TV series and says she “would love to work with screen-writers and directors.” She is also in the process of finalizing her second book entitled ‘The Love Chronicle.’

Asked if she had ever been to Donegal, she replied, somewhat regretfully, “I have never been but I would love to go; who knows what will happen in the near future.”

As a previous guest at ‘Ireland Writing Retreat,’ Theresa shared her passion for Irish music and song and the legends and stories behind them in an exclusive performance for participants.

Now a teacher of music, Theresa has shaped her impressive gifts into a newly-released CD with the intriguing title ‘An Choill Uaigneach’ (The Lonesome Forest).
